A few years ago when Black Sheep Bride first launched we went through a series of scenarios of different ways couples might give back. One of the scenarios we explored was an ALL VEGAN wedding. Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected for the day to arrive when I’d actually receive just such a submission.
Thanks to Meigan Canfield Photo for sharing this sweet vegan wedding with us today. Our very own BSB vendor, MJM Designs, was also on hand with all the beautiful (and sustainable) flowers as well. The wedding couple provided local Milkweed seeds to plant as a wedding favor to their guests. These flowers provide shelter and life to the declining Monarch Butterfly populations around the country. Each table also had a sign that directed guests to learn more about animals in need of adoption through their featured wedding day charity. On top of all that kindess, they took it one step further and created a completely vegan wedding. Having a vegan wedding means it was cruelty-free to animals, and much less-cruel to the environment. Eating vegan reduces an individuals carbon footprint in half, uses 100 times less freshwater, does not require rainforest depletion or ocean degradation. What a labor of beautiful love and intention they planned out for their BIG DAY, don’t you agree?
